Print 23-02-22
In 2022 I made a set of 35 printed textile artworks. The plan was to create one print each day (in reality it was more like one print every couple of days!), with minimal planning, using only paper stencils.
These pieces are all screenprinted on drill cotton satin, which is a nice, heavy weight fabric with a mix of twill and satin weave, giving it a smoothish surface that is lovely to print on. The inks are all hand-mixed by me.
The MT in the bottom left corner indicates monotype, which means each print is a one-off and not part of a series. As each print is handmade, there will naturally be small imperfections in both the fabric and the printing. I hope these enhance, rather than detract from, your enjoyment of this art.
Each piece is approximately 10 x 10 inches (25.5 x 25.5 cm), and is finished with overlocked (sewn) edges. These prints can be displayed unframed or framed; to frame, I recommend leaving the sewn edges exposed. Please note: the prints are sold unmounted and unframed; the photos showing prints mounted and/or framed are provided for illustration purposes only.
